In the process of petrochemical enterprises transforming to chemical new materials under the background of carbon peak⁃ing and carbon neutrality, methanol coupling with light hydrocarbons aromatization technology has become an important directionfor the high-value utilization of light hydrocarbons. As the core of this technology, the catalyst performance directly determines thereaction efficiency, product selectivity and industrial application value. At present, most of the research on this technology focuseson the optimization of catalytic performance, while systematic research on the catalyst deactivation mechanism and regenerationtechnology is rarely reported. This paper systematically summarizes the types, modification methods and catalytic characteristics ofmainstream catalysts in the methanol coupling with light hydrocarbons aromatization reaction, deeply analyzes the main deactivationreasons such as catalyst carbon deposition, active component loss/agglomeration and zeolite framework dealumination, and combsthe current mainstream regeneration technologies and process optimization strategies. The aim is to provide theoretical support forthe development of coupling aromatization catalysts with high stability and long service life, and at the same time provide technicalreference for the efficient regeneration and long-cycle operation of catalysts in industrial plants.
