Abstract: In this paper, various methods for detecting the content of N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) in oil products in the petrochemical
field are introduced in detail, including Abbe refraction method, gas chromatography, Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method and
the application and comparison of other methods. The principles, operation steps, accuracy and applicable scenarios of various
methods are expounded, and the basis for comparing and selecting different methods is provided through experimental results and
analysis. Finally, the importance of continuous exploration and improvement of NMP content detection method is emphasized.
